Welcome to the website of the 36th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and the National Philoptochos convention.  The Congress for 2002 will convene at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, California from June 30th  through July 4th, 2002.  His Eminence, Archbishop Demetrios spiritual leader of the 1.5 million Greek Orthodox faithful in America will preside over the congress.  It will be hosted by the Diocese of San Francisco,  under the pastoral guidance of its Presiding Hierarch His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony.   (Click for Press Release)  Other organizations, including the National Forum of Church Musicians, National Sisterhood of Presvyteres and the Young Adult League will also be holding their annual meetings in conjunction with the congress.  (See information on related  meetings.)
