From June 16-27, 2016 the Orthodox Church came together to express the faith of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church through the convening of the Holy and Great Council. Hierarchs, clergy, monastics, and laity offered their personal gifts granted by the Holy Spirit in an effort to present a common witness to Christ and His Church in the world.

Our 43rd Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress featured a 2-hour forum dedicated to the Holy and Great Council. Registered delegates had the chance to hear presentations about the significance of the Council and its impact on our lives as Orthodox Christians living in the United States. There was also an opportunity to ask questions of several of the Hierarchs who actually participated in the Council as delegates of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
