Ολοκληρώθηκε χθες το βράδυ, 5 Ιουλίου 2018, η 44η Κληρικολαϊκή Συνέλευση της Ιεράς Αρχιεπισκοπής Αμερικής με το επίσημο δείπνο στο ξενοδοχείο Boston Marriott Copley Place στο οποίο παρακάθησαν 1200 περίπου σύνεδροι. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας προηγήθηκε η πολύωρη συνεδρίαση της Γενικής Συνελεύσεως των συνέδρων.

Δοξολογία για την εθνική εορτή της 4ης Ιουλίου, ημέρα της Αμερικανικής Ανεξαρτησίας τέλεσε ο Σεβασμιώτατος Αρχιεπίσκοπος Αμερικής κ. Δημήτριος εντός της μεγάλης αιθούσης των συνεδριάσεων στο ξενοδοχείο Boston Marriott Copley Place, όπου λαμβάνει χώρα η 44η Κληρικολαϊκή Συνέλευση.

Με την κεντρική εναρκτήρια βαρυσήμαντη ομιλία του Σεβασμιωτάτου Αρχιεπισκόπου Αμερικής κ. Δημητρίου, πραγματοποιήθηκε το πρωί της Δευτέρας 2 Ιουλίου 2018 στο ξενοδοχείο Boston Marriott Copley Place η επίσημη έναρξη των εργασιών της 44ης Κληρικολαϊκής Συνελεύσεως της Ιεράς Αρχιεπισκοπής Αμερικής, η οποία λαμβάνει χώρα ανά διετία σε διαφορετική κάθε φορά πόλη των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών. Παράλληλα με την Κληρικολαϊκή Συνέλευση, και ως είθισται, πραγματοποιείται η Συνέλευση της Εθνικής Φιλοπτώχου Αδελφότητος.

On behalf of the clergy and laity of the 62 parishes of the Metropolis of Boston, I welcome you to the 44th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress. The city of Boston is a fitting location for our gathering, not only because it is home to one of the historic Greek Orthodox communities in America and Hellenic College/Holy Cross, but also because it is the birthplace of religious freedom in the United States.

Greek Orthodox officials to gather for biennial meeting

Officials from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will be gathering in Massachusetts for a national meeting. The organization's 44th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress is expected to draw delegates from parishes across the country to downtown Boston starting Sunday.

Boston Host Committee for Greek Orthodox Church’s 44th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress Prepares for National Convention in July

The Host Committee for the 44th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOAA) continues to prepare for the upcoming gathering of delegates from parishes throughout the United States, which will convene July 1-5, 2018, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. Concurrently with the Clergy-Laity Congress, the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society will convene its Biennial National Convention in the same venue.

Arthur C. Anton Sr., Named Honorary Chairman of 44th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress

Arthur C. Anton Sr., renowned philanthropist and founding member of the League of Greek Orthodox Stewards (today known as Leadership 100 Endowment Fund) will serve as honorary chairman of the 44th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, which will convene in Boston, July 1-5, 2018.
