In Christ, We Are one!

outreach Ministries

At this summer's Clergy-Laity Congress, we are providing some amazing outreach opportunities so that together, as one body, we can be examples of Christ's love by making positive differences in the lives of others.

Postcards for Soldiers

This outreach campaign will be launched during the “Moonlight on the Midway” welcome event on Monday evening of the Clergy-Laity Congress.

Our guests on the USS Midway will have the opportunity to write personal notes of gratitude and encouragement to those serving in the Armed Forces. These messages will be distributed to active-duty soldiers stationed across the globe, serving as powerful reminders of the unwavering support and gratitude from their fellow citizens back home.

Date: Mon., July 1, 2024
Time: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Location: USS Midway Museum

Prayer Shawl Ministry

A compassionate outreach initiative offered by parishes and Philoptochos chapters where dedicated volunteers knit and crochet shawls for people in need of support and prayers. These shawls serve as symbols of comfort, solace, and healing for individuals experiencing illness, grief, or hardship.

We invite families and people of all generations to visit and join our group on July 3 to help with knitting and crocheting. For those who do not have the skills to knit or crochet, stop by to help with packaging!
